METHODS / EVIDENCE STANDARD
A provenance-first approach
Bioadjuvant is intended to distinguish biological mechanisms, experimental observations, and clinical outcomes rather than collapsing them into one score.
Minimum extraction fields
- Publication identifier (DOI or PMID), year, and source.
- Adjuvant identity, formulation, and co-components.
- Antigen, study model, dose, route, schedule, and comparator.
- Immunological endpoint, assay, unit, sampling time, and sample size.
- Observed effect, uncertainty, and limitations.
Evidence labels
Mechanistic: pathway hypotheses or mechanistic experiments. Preclinical: observations in nonclinical models. Clinical: findings in human studies. Labels indicate study context, not automatic quality or strength of inference.
Scientific guardrails
Adjuvant effects are context dependent. The same formulation may produce different readouts across antigens, species, routes, and assays. Future analysis modules should preserve source records and support auditability.
